Daily Prompt: Edge of the Frame

We often capture strangers in photos we take in public. Open your photo library, and stop at the first picture that features a person you don’t know. Now tell the story of that person.

Well, I don’t take a photo of a stranger. And unfortunately, I can’t find anyone I don’t know in the photos on my iphone.

The prompt instead reminded me of one of my old friends. I noticed sometime when I was in elementary or junior high school that I couldn’t remember who one of the kids was on a photo from my preschool. It was a group photo of all the kids in the same year with me at the kindergarten. It was a very small school district and we all went to the same kindergarten, elementary and junior high. So, I should have known everyone. But I couldn’t remember her. And she didn’t seem to be among other kids in the elementary or the junior high. Yet, her face looked somewhat familiar to me.

The mystery didn’t solved until I entered high school. There I made friends with a very shy girl. Well, shyer than me! 😀 And she turned out to be the girl at the kindergarten. She knew me and my name. According to her story, her mom was a teacher there, so she was pre-schooled there, but after that she went to a different elementary. We seemed to be sandbox friends at the kindergarten.
