International Women’s Day: several books you might need to read.

Actually, I’ve never been so serious about this feminist stuff. Still, my favorite authors include female writers like Marion Zimmer Bradley. For the past few years, I was busy reading her Darkover. I love her Mists and because of that, I almost disliked Christianity back then. Having read her Darkover stories, I was also touched by her feminism. But hers are so harsh and sometimes it smells like so women. I mean the smell of female blood. I know her books are bitter medicine to men and some women. They were to me, too. I actually don’t like Lady Rohana very much but can’t forget her words.

Two To Conquer: A Darkover Book by Marion Zimmer Bradley

The Shattered Chain by Marion Zimmer Bradley

Everything But Freedom (Darkover) by Marion Zimmer Bradley

Last year I read Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s Herland for Fantasy class at Coursera. The book was kind of outdated but still very unnerving.

Anyway, Happy International Women’s Day! I’m for International Women’s Day, for Malala and for Girls Rising. And I’m for all girls and women in the whole world!
