Actually, I’ve never been so serious about this feminist stuff. Still, my favorite authors include female writers like Marion Zimmer Bradley. For the past few years, I was busy reading her Darkover. I love her Mists and because of that, I almost disliked Christianity back then. Having read her Darkover stories, I was also touched by her feminism. But hers are so harsh and sometimes it smells like so women. I mean the smell of female blood. I know her books are bitter medicine to men and some women. They were to me, too. I actually don’t like Lady Rohana very much but can’t forget her words.
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
The Forest House by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Two To Conquer: A Darkover Book by Marion Zimmer Bradley
The Shattered Chain by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Everything But Freedom (Darkover) by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Last year I read Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s Herland for Fantasy class at Coursera. The book was kind of outdated but still very unnerving.
